
Sunniva Fevang is a Norwegian Mezzo Soprano based in Oslo. She finished her studies at The Royal Danish Opera Academy in Copenhagen in the spring of 2024, and is also educated from Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo and The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
For the 2025/26 season she is making her debut at The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, performing as both 3. Nymph in Rusalka and 2. Lady in Die Zauberflöte on the main stage. In June, Sunniva returns to The Norwegian National Opera’s Stage 2 as Bianca in The Rape of Lucretia, joining the singers from the opera studio WOYS.
As a concert singer Sunniva has performed works such as Mozarts Reqiuem, Mass in b-minor (J. S. Bach), Christmas Oratorio (J. S. Bach), Messiah (G. F. Händel) and Te Deum (Charpentier), and been working with orchestras including Finnish Baroque Orchestra, Nivalis Barokk and Norwegian Baroque Ensemble (Barokkanerne).
Sunniva is a sought after ensemble singer. She is regulary singing with The Norwegian Soloist’s Choir and has experience from ensembles such as Bragernes Church's Soloistensemble and The Norwegian Ladies Choir. In 2020-2022 Sunniva was one of 12 selected singers chosen to The Norwegian Soloist’s Choir Academy.
Sunniva made her operatic stage debut in 2023 at The Royal Danish Opera as 2. lady in Barrie Kosky’s production of Die Zauberflöte, conducted by Eivind Gullberg Jensen, Nick Fletcher and Hendrik Vestmann.
During her studies, Sunniva has performed roles such as Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), L'enfant (L'enfant et les sortilèges), Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel), Jocaste (Oedipus Rex), Siebel (Faust) and Bianca (The Rape of Lucretia), to mention a few.
